Semen Without Sperm – Know About It Here

Men who do not have sperm in their semen suffers from a condition called azoospermia. It happens to 1% of men and 15% of fertile men. There are not any symptoms that you would notice, but if you have been trying to make your partner conceive for a long time and the efforts are going in vain, this could be the cause.

Infertility can be there in people both, but consulting a fertility expert shall help you. If it is the male counterpart, there must be some problem with his regular ejaculation.

The individual might have problem that keeps his testicles from making sperm or that stops sperm from getting out of your body. There are three types of azoospermia we know:

  • Pretesticular azoospermia: In this case, your testicles are normal but your body cannot get them to make sperm. It mostly happens due to hormonal imbalances or after you have had chemotherapy.
  • Testicular Azoospermia: In this case, damage your testicles keep them from producing sperm, it can happen due to an infection, a childhood illness, a groin injury, cancer treatments, or any kind of genetic condition.
  • Post-testicular azoospermia: In this case, your testicles make normal sperm, but something keeps them from getting out such as a blockage in the tubes carrying sperm from your testicles to your penis, a vasectomy, retrograde ejaculation (when semen goes into your bladder instead of out of the penis during an orgasm).
